Expert Terms of Service

1. Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern participation by any individual ("Expert," "you," or "your") in the Acutus Expert Network operated by Acutus, LLC ("Acutus," "we," "us," or "our"). By applying to, contributing to, or maintaining a profile within the Acutus Expert Network, you agree to these Terms.
2. Participation
Participation is voluntary and subject to acceptance by Acutus. Acutus may verify your identity, credentials, and professional background, and may suspend or terminate participation at any time for any reason.
3. Submissions and Interviews
"Submissions" include all information, text, data, quotes, interviews, audio, or other content you provide to Acutus through our website, email, portal, or any other means.
By submitting content, you acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your submissions.
- You have the right to provide the information you submit.
- Submissions may be edited, summarized, contextualized, or used to generate derivative works by Acutus and its AI systems.
4. Ownership and Rights
You agree that all Submissions, including any derivative or AI-generated materials based on your Submissions, become the sole property of Acutus upon submission.
Accordingly, you hereby assign, transfer, and convey to Acutus all worldwide rights, title, and interest (including all intellectual property rights, moral rights, and rights of publicity) in and to:
- Your Submissions,
- Any derivative works created by or on behalf of Acutus using your Submissions, and
- Any aggregated, analytical, or generated content produced from your participation.
You waive any right to compensation, attribution, or approval of use. Acutus may use, reproduce, publish, distribute, modify, translate, publicly display, and create derivative works from your Submissions in any media, format, or technology now known or later developed.
5. Confidentiality and Privacy
Submissions may be attributed, pseudonymized, or anonymized according to your selected visibility settings, but Acutus retains discretion over how content is presented. Acutus may disclose information if required by law or in good faith to comply with legal obligations.
6. Representations
By participating, you represent that:
- Your Submissions are your own original content.
- You have not violated any confidentiality obligations.
- You understand that Acutus is not responsible for factual errors in your statements or derived content.
7. No Compensation
Participation in the Expert Network does not entitle you to compensation. Acutus may, at its discretion, provide non-monetary recognition or access to features but is not obligated to do so.
8. Termination
You may request removal from the Expert Network at any time. However, Acutus retains ownership and rights to all previously submitted materials and their derivatives.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
You participate at your own risk. Acutus makes no guarantees regarding publication, attribution, or distribution of your Submissions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acutus disclaims any liability for damages arising from or related to your participation or the use of your Submissions.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles. All disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
11. Amendments
Acutus may update these Terms at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
